Description
Likely Roullet et Decamps, c. 1890. Standing doll with a Simon & Halbig bisque head, model 1300-6 and bisque hands. Head with fixed glass blue eyes with lashes, painted brows, long pale hair restrained in a silk bow. On composite body with internal mechanism, crank winding mechanism and pull-out on and off switch. Standing on a velvet covered wooden base. Dressed in period sage green pantalons and short jacket with a silk shirt and lace bow and cuffs. Pink satin sash. Ribbed stockings and velvet slippers. Holding a wooden painted mandolin. Imprinted "1300-6 Simon & Halbig SH" on back of neck. France, late 19thc.

When activated the head turns from side to side and the right arm glides over the mandolin.

Condition
Loss of small finger on right hand. Loss to mohair wig. Minor stains and loss to clothing. Mechanism complete but appears wound tight and not currently functioning. Separation of trim on velvet stand. Condition report available upon request.
