Morris (MO) Okun (1903-1995). While visiting his son, Ed Okun, in New Mexico in 1990, MO first saw the cardboard cutouts of the Navajo folk artist Mamie Deschillie and was so intrigued by them that he decided to create his own. MO drew on memories from his childhood, as well as life experiences. In the last five years of his life, he created over 200 cutouts. These cutouts were exhibited in a show at the Connecticut Valley Historical Museum in Springfield, MA and another museum show in St. Louis.
Frame: 26 1/4 x 24 1/4 x 2 in. (66.68 x 61.60 x 5.08 cm.)
