This is a very rare coin-operated automata with a monkey playing a mandolin, a large one smoking a cigar, music box playing and delivering a small cigar for your coin. Operating on an English penny which trips the mechanism, and when you pull the drawer under the cigar label to receive your smoke, the automata runs and the music box plays. The movement includes the strumming of the mandolin with head movement on the small monkey and smoking motion and head movement on the large monkey. The large monkey does not appear to have a smoking apparatus. There can't be but a couple of these machines, if that many. This machine would benefit from an experienced automata restorer going through it to perfect the operation, but currently working as described and truly a one of a kind coin-operated musical vending machine.
