The Polyphon Style 100 Savoyard organ grinder uses a terra-cotta Figure of a young boy organ grinder to hold a crank on the Polyphon Style 103 automaton music box giving the illusion that the young boy is cranking the box. The Polyphon Style 100 uses 77 musical notes on 15 - 3/4" discs, the coin slot is in the form of an alms dish, and there is a drawer in the base for storage of the discs. This example is in great condition with bright paint, possibly redone in the last 30 years, a great example Style 103 automaton, a replaced hand on the young boy. It is working, though needing a little attention. Produced from the 1890's to early 20th century. A magnificent example of early mechanical music. Keys.
