dated Camp Coffee, March 2, 1815 (and New Orleans, March 8, 1815), 'The United States to George Elliott', written shortly after the decisive United States victory in the Battle of New Orleans fought on January 8, 1815, the document details payment for the provision of 20 bushels of corn at $1 per bushel, for the troops who traveled from 'Chickasaw (Bogue?) to Battenrouge from the 25th Nov to the 14. Dec 1814 both days inclusive', with directions for the General Quartermaster to make payment, signed boldly 'Andrew Jackson Major Genl Comdg', with several countersigns, mounted and framed together with a lithographed photo image of the General, light toning and old folds, document sight 12x7.5in., overall framed 18.5x20in.
