Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom to Late Dynastic Period, 18th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1550 to 332 BCE. An alluring ensemble presenting three strands of petite faience beads glazed in hues of turquoise, azure, pale yellow, and russet. Many beads are of rough spherical forms with some decorated with incised striations or shallow impressions, and other, larger beads resemble bulbous gourds. Size (largest strand): 20.75" L (52.7 cm); (largest bead): 0.625" W (1.6 cm)
Provenance: ex-Phoenicia Holyland Antiquities, New York City, New York, USA, acquired before 2010

Condition
Faience beads are ancient, and stringing is modern. Beads can be easily restrung if desired. Minor nicks and pitting to some beads, with fading to glaze pigment on most beads, and very light encrustations, otherwise intact and very good. Nice remains of glaze pigment throughout.
