Frame is light brown and slopes outward. Taped on the back of the piece is a paper of the same text, but in English. This piece has the same illustrated frame in black and white. It has a fair amount of discoloration and evident tears. This is a colored print of The Declation of the Establishment of the State of Israel. On may 14th, 1948, the British mandates over Palestine expired, and the Jewish People's Council gathered at the Tel Aviv Museum. It approved the proclamation declaring the establishment of the State of Israel. This piece shows illustrative borders, utilizing Jewish motifs and figures, such as Moses, Aaron, and David. It includes additional text in the borders. At the bottom of the main text within the borders, it includes the names of signatories. Piece has few brown spots on sides. Measures approximately 21 x 16.5 inches.
