Pre-Columbian, Western Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-built earthenware double flute of long twin tubular construction, with twin mouthpieces, and each side presenting four pitch or key holes, making eight in total. A peaceful avian - with nicely delineated crest feathers, wings, tail feathers, and open beak - is perched upon the end closer to the double mouthpiece.
