Italian Carved Alabaster Grand Tour Souvenir

fourth quarter 19th century, depicting ruins of the Temple of Vespasian and Titus, in the form of three Corinthian columns, on a rusticated base supporting a carved cornice.
h. 15-3/4", w. 5-1/2", d. 5-1/2"

Condition

In overall good condition with no visible repairs or significant losses. Edges of columns, entablature and base have scattered nicks and small chips/losses.- all of which is consistent with age, material and use. Entablature of columns are inscribed "D. Vespasiano", "Tempio Roma" and "Estit = Ver"
