The scarves were exhibited for many years at Mike Moon's Elvis and Hollywood Legends Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, which at the time held the largest privately owned Elvis Presley memorabilia collection. The lot will include a copy of a 1981 bill of sale from Billy Smith to Moon listing "3 scarfs (original stage scarfs), and copies of original notarized letters from Billy Smith which state that the white and blue concert scarves were given to his wife Jo in February, 1972 while doing a show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
