This lot consists of a small unframed oil painting on canvas board, done in the painterly, Impressionist style of Pierre-Auguste Renoir (French, 1841-1919). This beautifully detailed image depicts a still life scene that is rich with color and value. A handwritten inscription at lower left reads, "Renoir". Approximate dimensions are 13.5" x 10". A fine highlight to any collector's gallery.

Pierre-Auguste Renoir was born February 25, 1841 in Limoges, France. He was a leading member of the Impressionists. His work is characterized by a richness of feeling and a warm response to the world we live in.
