Description
BRASS AND STEEL SPRING-LOADED SURGICAL BLEEDERS / LANCETS, LOT OF FOUR, each with steel release bar, one very lightly engraved "Mayer Steel / May 4, 1822?", two examples with impressed letters including a reverse "GB" and another with "FD". Each fitted in original leather-covered wooden dome-top case, one impressed "Traunichtesbeit". 19th century. 1 1/2" x 2 3/4" and 1 3/8" to 3 3/4" cases.
Very good overall condition with expected usage wear, blade edges with roughness, cases with moderate wear losses to the coverings.
