BRASS AND STEEL SPRING-LOADED SURGICAL BLEEDERS / LANCETS, LOT OF FOUR, comprising two examples with steel release bar, one impressed "KOLB"; and two with a brass release bar, one impressed "D". Each fitted in original leather-covered wooden case, one impressed "Traunichtesbicht" and another "KOLB". 19th century. 1 1/2" x 2 3/4" cases.
Very good overall condition with expected usage wear, blade edges with roughness, cases with moderate wear/ losses to the coverings.
Provenance: The estate collection of Alan R. Shirkey, Harrisonburg, VA.
