Taino. Anthropic Cemi /stamp depicting the Frog goddess Atabey or frog/mother. Swollen vagina, hands next to head and frog-like legs are common symbolic notations for this deity. A dotted diadem surrounds head and a medallion appears to drop from diadem. Pierced at elbows, hips and knees, all considered "soft spots" for the entry of spirits. The Taino believed joints were entry points for spiritual influence and often drilled holes at articulated joins. Back is a group complex group of symbolic swirls. Marble.
