Early Kirby Morgan KMB-8 Band Mask 1967 to 1969

Description

Classic 1960s Kirby Morgan band mask, model KMB-8. This example is in very good condition. Note that the KMB-8 only used 7 screws in the face plate retainer. The later KMB-9 had 15 screws, and different knobs, rubber hose between side block and regulator. Later models also use a bent metal tube as well as the knobs are different on side block and regulator adjustment. Regulator retains original USD decals. Very minor blemishes to orange paint, but overall a fantastic piece for display!

All diving helmets in this auction will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Nations Attic. The certificate will have a unique number that will match the number on a tamperproof hologram decal placed inside the helmet. This information will be kept on permanent file at Nations Attic and help ensure the provenance of the helmet and authenticity.
