Description
**Originally Listed At $300**

West Africa, Ivory Coast, Senufo people, ca. 20th century CE. A beautiful ladle, hand-carved from wood, featuring a deep bowl, a spiral-shaped handle, and a finial in the form of a Setien or harvest bird - a hornbill crane. The spread-winged stance of this bird is meant to evoke a protective gesture. Size: 6" W x 25.25" H (15.2 cm x 64.1 cm)
