Pre-Columbian, Mexico, Guerrero / Mezcala, ca 300 BCE. A rare stone chisel, perhaps used in the creation of pottery or the carving of other types of stone, made from a dark, highly polished stone. Size: 0.55" W x 2.6" H (1.4 cm x 6.6 cm)
Provenance: ex-private collection of the late Father Bader, University of St. Thomas, Houston, Texas, USA; exhibited in the University of St. Thomas Art Gallery, acquired prior to 2000
