Correspondence of a Pole serving in the 77th Austrian Infantry Regiment during World War I. Infanterieregiment Philipp Herzog von Württemberg Nr. 77 was formed in 1860. He was stationed in the Polish Galicia in the cities of Przemysl and Sambor. The set includes 58 postcards. Six of them are civilian. Additionally, there are six letters. Almost all correspondence is from 1914 to 1917. The postcards bear various stamps of the Austrian field mail and military censorship. Three cards are postmarked. The Pole writes to his beloved from the Eastern Front, then from the hospital in Vienna to the town of Jarosław.
