Portrait of Mehmed ll, the ottoman emperor who conquered Constantinople. Which is shown on the right. A large Q next to the portrait stands for Quad who engraved this map. Excellent condition. 1596, (RARE EDITION) 'Europae Totius Orbis Terrarum Partis Praestantissimae' by Matthias Quad. (Geographer, humanist and engraver). Published in Cologne by Lambert Andreas. Quad established Cologne, as a center for map making în Germany at the time
