Eighteen Silkscreen Portfolio.
Movable Masks and Figures of the North Pacific Coast Indians by Robert Bruce Inverarity with an introduction by Erna Gunther.
Limited edition portfolio of eighteen silkscreen plates.
Each plate depicts a single specimen. Two thirds of the group were collected from the Kwakiutl, three from the Tsimshian, two from Haida and one from the Bella Coola Indians.
The silkscreens are reproduced after the watercolors of Robert Bruce Inverarity (1909-1999).
Issued in portfolio by Cranbrook Institute of science, Cranbrook Press, 1941.
Folio, text printed in the Cloister Old Style typeface on Strathmore Ruftex paper.

Dimensions: silkscreens: 13 inches x 19 inches.
Original publishers half cloth portfolio, front board printed in red and black with a large woodcut of an orca in the North Pacific Coast illustrative style; pink linen spine and board fore-edges, with the ties.
Condition: very good condition, each silkscreen has tissue guards and are striking.
Provenance: Michigan estate, one-owner.
