Zuni 1970s Multi-Inlaid Sterling Silver Sunface Squash Blossom Necklace - This exquisite, museum quality Native American piece is a Zuni Sunface squash blossom necklace from the 1970s. This stunning piece features Kachina style Sunfaces, representing prosperity, happiness, peace, hope, optimism and positive energy. The Sunfaces are created with expertly placed inlaid mother of pearl, jet, turquoise and coral, resting on a double strand of sterling silver bench made beads. This necklace comes from a collection which has been housed in a vault for over 40 years. According to our seller, her parents started in the Native American jewelry business in 1972, and the family would travel to the New Mexico Native American reservations and purchase pieces directly from the tribes. They eventually went into the gold jewelry business and have kept these pieces in their private collection for over 40 years. Measurements: 28" length, small Sunface-1.15" wide, naja-3.5"L x 2.75"W. Condition: This piece is in excellent vintage condition with all inlay intact and a lovely patina.
