Zuni 1970s Multi-Color Mother of Pearl Inlaid Sterling Silver Flower Squash Blossom Necklace W/Turquoise, Jet & Coral Accents - This exquisite, museum quality Native American piece is a Zuni flower squash blossom necklace from the 1970s. This is a rare and unusual Native American piece with beautiful floral blossoms created with expertly placed inlaid abalone, yellow, pink and white mother of pearl, with jet, turquoise and coral accents. The flowers rest on a double strand of sterling silver bench made beads. This piece comes from a collection which has been housed in a vault for over 40 years. According to our seller, her parents started in the Native American jewelry business in 1972, and the family would travel to the New Mexico Native American reservations and purchase pieces directly from the tribes. They eventually went into the gold jewelry business and have kept these pieces in their private collection for over 40 years. Measurements: 24" length, 0.85"-1.6" flowers, 2.5" x 2.5" naja. Condition: This piece is in excellent vintage condition with all inlay intact and a lovely patina.
