Description
Michael Parkes (American, born 1944). Original hand pulled Limited Edition stone lithograph. Produced in a Magical Realism style. Titled, "PERSEPOLIS," inspired by the ancient ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid or First Persian Empire (circa 550–330 BC) and a World Heritage Site. Signed lower right PARKES with embossed Limited Edition stamp above, and Limited Edition number 156/800 to lower left. Includes circa 1990 magazine article about artist to verso. Presented in a decorative matte and frame. Good overall condition, normal wear. Measures approximately 24 5/8 in. x 32 in. (sight), 36 1/4 in. x 43 3/4 in. (framed).
