Group of Six African Items, 20th c., consisting of a carved wood mask with legs, Ashanti, Ghana; Carved Wood fertility offering figure, Nigeria; a carved wood kneeling ancestor figure; a large wood carved doll or fan, Ashanti, Ghana; a Benin bronze head on an ebonized wood base, and a mask with bird supports, Largest- H.- 18 3/4 in., W.- 10 1/2 in., D.- 3 in. (6 Pcs.) Provenance: from the Estate of John C. McNeese, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. 20th c. Normal wear and tear scratches and scuffs from age and use. Tall mask has loss to finish. Interesting examples.
