(lot of 2) English bisque porcelain portrait/ character dolls, designed by Audrey Haigh for Chelsea Art Doll Makers, London, England, 1953, including: (1) Queen Elizabeth II (b.1926, coronation 1953), dressed in a faux ermine fur-trimmed purple velvet cloak, satin dress with floral embroidery, seed pearls, rhinestone jewelry, metal crown with mohair and purple velvet trim, further embellished with enamel, rhinestones, and seed pearls, posed with an orb and scepter, approx 14"h, (1) Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (b.1921), dressed in a maroon velvet cloak, blue wool crepe military uniform, with gold braid trim, posed holding a sword, metal crown with enamel accents, approx 16"h; 3lbs total **Note: a version of the Queen Elizabeth II doll is pictured on the cover of the 1964 publication "Directory of British Dolls" by Leulla Hart.
