TWO VICTORIAN HAIRWORK AND ENAMEL MOURNING BROOCHES, the first with a central oval glazed hairwork panel with split pearl surround, further surrounded by black enamel and scrolled decoration, with closed back of unmarked yellow metal engraved to reverse 'In Memory of my dear Mother who died Feb. 5th 1854', 44mm long, (18.6g), together with a plaited hairwork and black enamel brooch with repousse surround, closed back, 46mm long, 19.2 grams. (2)
Condition
Engraved brooch - hairwork with dirt under glass, central panel is lose, grubby all over, pin resoldered. Plaited hair brooch - in need of a clean, pin replaced and resoldered.
