VICTORIAN GOLD-FILLED HAIR-WORK AND OTHER MOURNING JEWELRY, LOT OF SEVEN, comprising a watch chain with a bar fob and swivel clasp, a lyre-form brooch with woven hair sides and center engraved "Mother", and five brooches having glass fronts consisting of two featuring woven brown hair with one having reddish hair layered on top, one with black enameled frame having loosely wound hair and "MM / Obt 5th Oct. 1855 / AE 45" engraved to back, one with black enameled frame housing a piece of brown silk, and a double-sided example with brown leather-type material to the back and black paper/material to the front. Unmarked. 19th century. Watch chain 11 3/4" L.

Mostly in good to very good overall condition with wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including bending, dents, oxidation/corrosion, enamel loss, flakes/nicks to glass, and/or losses to gold; watch chain with some fraying hair; dark brown woven hair brooch with significant denting to back of frame.
