Description

From 1947 to 1949, one hundred and thirty-three precious, original historic documents were shuttled around the country on a specially-built train for all citizens to view. It was a different era—today It seems inconceivable that such a thing could take place. As a special tribute to that event, The Cleveland Press selected forty of the most iconic of those documents to reproduce and assembled them together into a portfolio so people could own, look at and study them. That was in 1962. This is one of the portfolios that survived from that time. The folio is completely intact. Some toning, extremely tiny spots and a tiny rub here and there, otherwise the foldover cover is completely sound. The documents are all in pristine condition. A revelation of history. 8.75 x 11.25. 40 pp. THIS VINTAGE BROCHURE IS INSERTED INTO A GLASSINE SLEEVE, ATTACHED TO A STIFF BOARD, THEN ENCASED IN BUBBLE WRAP AND PLACED IN A BUBBLE ENVELOPE FOR ABSOLUTE SECURITY IN TRANSIT.
