**First Time At Auction**

Western Europe or North America, England or United States, ca. 17th century CE. A forged iron compass divider comprised of two pieces that articulate on a hinge. The central piece swings open to approximately 90 degrees to allow for different sizes of measurements. One leg has a slot along the upper half that holds the opposite leg in place when this compass is folded. A handy tool for drafting and measuring dimensions. Size: 3.375" L x .375" W (8.6 cm x 1 cm)
