**First Time At Auction**
East Asia, China, late Qing Dynasty to early Republic Period, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A beautiful glazed porcelain vase of a tall, slender form showcasing a sinuous dragon flying across the surfaces. The vessel presents with an ovoid body atop a flat base, a gently sloped shoulder, and a corseted neck surmounted by a flared rim with a scalloped lip. The vessel's white color provides for a bright ground atop which blue pigment is applied to create the fine floral and arboreal motifs as well as the dragon with its piercing gaze, scaly body, sharp claws, and lengthy body and tail. Size: 4.5" W x 9.3" H (11.4 cm x 23.6 cm)

Minor nicks and pitting to body and foot, otherwise intact and very good. Great preservation of blue pigment throughout, and heavy earthen deposits within body.
