Egypt, Romano-Egyptian period, ca. 30 BCE to 2nd century CE. A stunning set of opaque glass beads in gorgeous shades of turquoise, teal, aquamarine, cobalt, navy, white, and yellow, all fixed to a wearable modern strand with a metal loop and lobster clasp combo. Comprised of barrel, discoid, spherical, conjoined, and tubular beads arranged by size, expanding towards the center of the chain, this is a beautiful example of modern fashion meets ancient art! Length of strand: 18.75" L (47.6 cm); Size of largest bead: 0.375" L x 0.25" W (1 cm x 0.6 cm)
Provenance: private Dunn collection, Coral Springs, Florida, USA, acquired in the 1990s

Condition
Beads are all ancient, but restrung in modern times with a modern strand and clasp. Light surface wear to beads commensurate with age. Otherwise, excellent and wearable with lovely earthen deposits and nice iridescence throughout.
