This lot consists of a colored pencil illustration on paper, done in the cartooning style of Joseph Shuster (Canadian-American, 1914-1992). A handwritten inscription at bottom of composition reads, "Joe Shuster" and "(c) DC COMICS". Image depicts Superman. This unframed piece measures approximately 10.25" x 7.5".

Reverse side features a stamp which reads, "Murray A. Harris. 4953 Cartwright Ave. North Hollywood, Calif 9160[?]".

Joe Shuster (Canadian-American, 1914-1992) is best known for co-creating the DC Comics superhero Superman. Shuster's career ended tragically, when, in the early 1970s, he was forced to quit illustration due to partial blindness.
