Description
Late 18th-early 19th century, poplar. Architectural two piece top and a single base. Top has two raised panel doors on "H" hinges and molded cornice. One side has a peg rack, the other has shelves. The base haswaist molding, ogee bracket feet with returned scrolls and three dovetailed drawers over two with original brasses. Rose head nails, old paint has some age. Minor wear and some edge loss. 89"h. 73"w. 25.5"d.
Condition
Cornice width is 78”. 88.5”h. 75.5”w. at cornice. Repaint is most likely within the last 50 years, purposefully distressed. Edge loss to drawers, two have differing brasses but all brasses look to be original. Edge loss to one door corner. Center stile is loose from front and has a loose piece at bottom. Interior has some replaced replica nails on left with peg rails, right side top shelf has a scorched hole. Interior needs cleaned of mildew on surface. Walnut backboards, insides of doors have old grey paint.
