Two Printed Cotton Dresses, and One Blouse, 1870-80s

This lot includes two dresses and one bodice.

THE FIRST
Pink cotton day dress with white flower print, ruffled neckline and front opening, long sleeves, left hip pocket, and center front button closure. "E. Mann" handwritten on the center back bodice interior. The cotton interior or underlining retains the marks from laying out the pattern on the fabric before cutting. These marks aid in the identifying the pattern and areas to sew.

Condition
Condition: THE FIRST The overall condition is very good structurally with the following: Soiling/Spots: There is some soiling throughout the dress but mostly under the arms, the right front sleeve, and at the bottom of the skirt. There is also a large tan colored spot on the interior left lining. THE SECOND The overall condition is good structurally with the following: Structural Issues: The upper tie back in the overskirt is held in place by a pin. Split/Separated Seams: The right side seam on the overskirt is separating just below and inside the inseam pocket. Fading/Color Change: There is extensive fading along the bodice neckline and both sleeves on the lower arms. There are some light discolored spots along the back over skirt hem ruffle. Soiling/Spots: There are some darkened spots on the front right upper tier of pleating on the underskirt. Repairs/Alterations: There is a crude repair at the bodice center back at waist and a patch on the left back shoulder. THE THIRD The overall condition is very good structurally with the following: Soiling/Spots: There is moderate soiling throughout the blouse, most noticeably on the front waist and hips, and the back sides of the sleeves. Everything is sold 'As Is'. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use. The absence of any reference to the condition of a lot does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
