Egypt, Late Period, 26th Dynasty (Saite) 664-525 B.C..Faience. H. 4.7 cmThe falcon-headed god Re-Horakhty, a syncretistic union of the gods Re and Horakhty (i.e. Horus who is worshipped as god of light) is represented striding forwards. He wears a wig and apron, and, on his head the sun-disc with uraeus. Low base. Dorsal pillar with perforation permitting the figure to be worn as an amulet. Intact.Formerly priv. coll. Charles Haumont, Belgium, formed 1980-2008.
