c. 1898 Spanish-American War, George Dewey Printed Patriotic Textile featuring "Rear Admiral George Dewey, U.S.N. The Hero of The Manila Fight," Choice Extremely Fine.
A nice size 20" x 20.75" Patriotic Textile featuring "Rear Admiral George Dewey, U.S.N. The Hero of The Manila Fight," Choice Extremely Fine. The sewn border is composed of red and white stripes with star fields in the corners. Dewey's chest-up portrait is within a laurel border, with flag banners below, and surmounted by an eagle bearing a riband with: "Our George He's All Right." The textile is very clean, with nice eye appeal. Framed under glass to 22" x 22.5" and ready for display.
