STEINER RUDOLF: (1861-1925) Austrian Philosopher, Founder of Antroposophy. Steiner was also a literary Critic, Architect, and a claimed Clairvoyant. Rare A.L.S., `Steiner´, one page, to a German postcard, Berlin, to Paul Quensel, in German. Steiner congratulates his correspondent on the success of his drama “Um die Scholle”, stating `So “Auf der Scholle!” has premiered. We rejoice at your success. Please send our best wishes to all the group.” The card bears two additional autograph messages by Otto Hartleben beneath Steiner´s one, the first signed more familiarly `Otto Erich´, and the second as `Otto Hartleben´ impersonating in jest a more formal personality. All three being humorous messages with a wordplay on the name of Quesnel´s drama, calling it “Auf der Scholle”.
