Description

Probably Jiaqing period (1796-1820)

Each with raised, jeweled, enameled butterflies and floral motifs enclosed by a reticulated border and gilt rim.

Provenance: A distinguished central Pennsylvania collection

Dimensions: Height: 9 5/8 in.Width: 8 5/8 in.

Condition

Minor wear to the exterior of the plates. Bits of gilding along the front edges of the rim have come off given the natural wear. Some wear to the bases of each plate. Minor firing marks at the bottom.
