Description
Stunning pair of 19th century chairs of Chinese origin. Each is a corner chair with wood appearing rosewood. They both are inlaid with mother of pearl with headrest having flowers and leaves, splats are in the form of vases with good luck symbols and blooming flowers, seats with flowers and birds, all with gentle scrolls and circles throughout. Construction appears to be mortise and tenon and both are approx. 33" tall x 20" x 20".
Condition
Visually in excellent condition for age, one arm is loose as shown and also showing stress crack possibly wood shrinkage, repair on another arm. Please examine the photos carefully as they are part of the description.
