ASSORTED CAST-IRON HERB GRINDERS, LOT OF TWO, each of boat form and with cutting wheel fitted with two wooden handles, comprising a tapered body example with one open end, supported with a splayed leg base; and a large example with oblong-form body with closed ends, supported with short splayed leg base. Small open end example cutting wheel with a white painted deaccessioned number "1121A". 19th century. 3" H, 14 3/4" L and 4" H, 23 3/4" L.
Small example in excellent condition, large example with moderate pitting and a small loss to top of body.
Provenance: From the collection of the late James C. Leonard, Jamestown, NC.
