APPALACHIAN RIB-TYPE WOVEN-SPLINT BASKET, white oak, unusual converging-rib boat form with wrapped rim and arched handle, dyed weaver decoration to body. Dry natural surface. First half 20th century. 9 3/4" HOA, 4 1/2" H to rim, 16 1/4" LOA.
Very good overall condition with minor wear, a few small losses to rim wrap, fading to dye on sides.
