Description
A GROUP OF THREE LARGE CAST RESIN FIGURES OF BRITISH SOLDIERS DEPLOYED DURING THE WAR OF INDEPENDENCE AND THE WAR OF 1812-1815, LATE 20TH CENTURY, emulating hand carved figures with wood-like finish raised on square plinths with canted corners and beveled front edge, comprising a striding Sergeant in the Royal Marines with a cartridge box strapped to his back, height: 18"; a standing Officer in the Royal Army wearing a plumed shako, single epaulette with braid on the right shoulder, and a sash at the waist, height: 19"; and a British Grenadier, circa 1776, wearing a tall mitre form bearskin trimmed headdress, a belt crossing his chest containing a belt tube and match, sword at the left side and a cartridge box on the right, height: 19 5/8".
Condition
Sergeant figure missing plume, crack at back of left foot with area of minor loss; Officer figure with repair to joint at the plume, cracking along joints; Grenadier figure with minor chipping along edges of the plinth.
