Description
Face carved from one piece of wood with headgear. The surface is stuccoed and painted polychrome. Black-bordered eyes with thickly contoured eyebrows. On the headgear the remains of a painted snake. Slightly broken off at the top right (due to the wood structure/branch). Frame at the tip of the nose and chin rubbed off, in the area of the headgear partly worn. Modern suspension on the back. Height 26 cm. Provenance: North German private collection.Condition: II - III
