Framed dimensions: 13 3/4 x 12 1/2 in.
Lot Essay: A muralist, illustrator, engraver and sculptor, Federico Cantu, trained in fresco with Diego Rivera, and worked in Mexico, France and the US. Cantu also taught art in the US and Mexico. His murals are found in private homes, educational institutions and churches. In the US his art is in the permanent collection at MoMA and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
