Description
This is a rather historically important large map of Europe as it was literally on the day World War II started with Germany invading Poland (Sept. 1, 1939). The map show Austria annexted (Anschluss of 1938) and the Czech portion of Chechoslovakia (1938) annexed as well by Germany. The map shows markedly different borders for Germany, Poland and Romania vs. those drawn post WW II. Plenty of detail is offered as to topography, rivers, lakes, swamps, railroads, canals, towns and cities.
