Description
A pair of Roman bronze brooches, 1st - 2nd Century AD, an include a Kraftig profilierte type and a knee brooch. Both are well-preserved with original pin and catch. L: 2 3/8 in (6 cm) & 1 1/16 & 1 1/8 in (2.7 x 2.8 cm). Ex Pitt-Rivers Museum, Dorset, Acquired in the Late 19th Century; Christie's London, December 1990; Royal Athena Gallery, New York; Ex Los Angeles private collection.
