Description
An Egyptian bronze headdress in the form of a sun disk set between a pair of bull's horns, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, likely from a figure of the goddess Hathor. The piece is well-preserved with good style and tang for mounting into the head. 2 3/8 x 2 1/16 in (6 x 5.2 cm). Mottled green patina, the surfaces likely polished to bring out color. Ex collection of William Ashby.
