Description
A nice Roman bronze oil lamp, 1st Century AD, the nozzle rounded and flanked by volutes, the fill-hole with angled border and ring handle with a guard in the form of a crescent. Three small loops for suspension are place equidistant around the top of the body and on bottom a ring foot with lathed concentric interior. L: 3 3/4 in (9.5 cm). A nice example with mottled green patination. Ex Connecticut museum collection.
