Helen Howell, Frank Lloyd Wright and Marcel Duchamp, San Francisco, 1949, Vintage gelatin silver print, 9.25" x 7.5", mounted 10.5" x 8". Matted. Signed and titled "Frank Lloyd Wright" in pencil on mount recto. Numbered in pencil on mount verso. Provenance: Estate of Helen Howell.
Artist Biography: Student at the California School of Fine Arts, 1947-1950. Exhibited her photographs in Perceptions, San Francisco Museum of Art [now SFMOMA}, 1954. Her career following her studies at the California School of Fine Arts included freelance photography, photographic processing and printing, and drafting. (source: Paul Hertzmann)
