Title attributed from Gignoux's own notebook where he recorded all of his works and sales -- this one with his inventory number 267 on the reverse. Gignoux primarily painted scenes in New York State, specifically the Hudson River Valley and area around Niagara Falls. Provenance: From the estate of Arthur B. de Saint Maurice, the great-grandson of Regis Gignoux.
